One insurance solution to cover your guest entertainers

One insurance solution to cover your guest entertainers

Medical and Liability insurance coverage.
  • It can be a real challenge to ensure that your non-seafarers onboard, such as guest entertainers and production staff, are accurately insured with proper coverage.
  • Finding the right policy to cover aerial acts, singers and dancers, magicians, and standup comics, among others, can be difficult.
  • Many of the policies on the market are geared towards land-based work and, unfortunately, do not provide suitable coverage for work at sea. This leaves a potential coverage problem for cruise lines and non-seafarers working onboard.
  • MHG's exclusive Guest Entertainer Program mitigates this risk! Our program offering Travel Medical insurance and Third-Party Liability closes the coverage gap and simplifies the insurance process for you and your entertainers.
  • This coverage is only available to cruise line groups and cannot be purchased on an individual basis.
How does the policy work?

How does the policy work?

Coverage that everyone will be clapping for.
  • Once the policy is set up, participants can purchase either the Travel Medical plan, the Third-Party Liability coverage, both policies or opt-out altogether if they already have the correct insurance.
  • The insurance premium is determined by the number of days the participant is on board and is deducted from their pay.
  • Once a quarter, the cruise line declares the number of days the guest entertainers have spent onboard, and an invoice is issued for the insurance premium. No names are required!
  • Not only does this ease the administrative task of vetting individual insurance policies, but this policy allows your non-seafarers onboard to meet the insurance obligations in their contract easily.
